The Before And After Of Cosmetic Injectables In Men
August 2022

If you’re over the age of 30 then chances are at some point in your life you’ve looked in the mirror and you haven’t liked what you’ve seen. With aging comes fine lines, wrinkles, and just an overall shift in your body and how it looks. As you get older the signs of aging become more apparent and if you’re one of the unlucky ones then this shift can happen primarily in your face. The good news? There are treatments out there to help with the appearance of wrinkles on the face, neck, and pretty much anywhere on the body you can think of (see, science can be cool sometimes). One of these treatments is cosmetic injectables. When you think about cosmetic injectables you might immediately go to any scene in a comedy movie where a character’s face is pretty much frozen in one expression because they’ve had too much cosmetic injectables done. Well, this isn’t the cosmetic injectables we’re talking about; there’s a reason they tell you not to believe everything you see on TV. No, the cosmetic injectables we’re talking about can be subtle and used just to help soften the effects of aging. But what does this look like in men? Well, let’s take a look.

Before we jump into what cosmetic injectables in men looks like, let’s make sure we’re on the same page about what exactly cosmetic injectables are. Cosmetic injectables are a treatment that uses Botulinum toxin to weaken muscle contractions by blocking the signals sent between your muscles and nerves. Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin made by Clostridium Botulinum bacteria and is considered one of the deadliest toxins known to man. Now before you let that fact scare you away, used in small doses Botulinum toxin can treat a wide range of medical illnesses, can help with fine lines and wrinkles, and is often referred to as “magic poison.” While cosmetic injectables can be used for a variety of reasons, it is typically used on a person’s face to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and signs of aging. When used properly by a doctor in a controlled setting, cosmetic injectables can be safe and give you the results you’re looking for to help you look younger.

As with any medical procedure or physical enhancing practice, cosmetic injectables can come with its own positive and negative side effects to consider. But don’t let the negative aspects detour you from deciding whether or not cosmetic injectables are the right choice for you. Consider all the effects and make the decision based on your own preference and beliefs! And don’t forget, you should always consult your primary care provider with any questions or concerns you might have! Or, schedule a consultation with a doctor to look at what kinds of cosmetic injectables are right for you. Now, let’s take a look at the common pros and cons of cosmetic injectables in men.

Now that we’ve covered what cosmetic injectables are and some of the pros and cons of getting cosmetic injectables, let’s talk about what cosmetic injectables in men really looks like. Chances are you’ve seen or you know someone who has had cosmetic injectables and you might not have even known!  As mentioned above, cosmetic injectables can vary depending on the area you are wanting to receive the procedure. And like almost all cosmetic procedures, the results can vary based on the individual person. But, if you’re looking to get an idea of what cosmetic injectables can look like, let’s take a look at some before and after pictures to give you an idea of what to expect.

Deciding whether or not cosmetic injectables are the right choice for you depends entirely on what you want to get out of the procedure and if you think it is the right step for you. If you’re interested in cosmetic injectables as a way to help with a double chin, then you might not be in the right place. For problem areas that you think need to lose some excess fat then a simple vaser lipo treatment might be the better choice for you. While cosmetic injectables can help with a lot of things, it can’t make fat disappear. But if you’re interested in removing a few wrinkles to make yourself look younger, then cosmetic injectables is a good procedure to consider. But don’t think that cosmetic injectables will dramatically change your features overnight, so consider the long term use of it if you are considering having it done.

If you’ve read this article and you like what you’ve read about cosmetic injectables and still think it is a procedure you would like to have done, consult your primary care provider to make sure cosmetic injectables are right for you. If you have any questions on the procedure, its risks, or you just want a second opinion, scheduling an appointment with your doctor to go over the details is a great way to get more information from a reliable source. It also doesn’t hurt to continue to do your own research on the procedure to make sure it is the right step for you. You can also schedule a consultation visit to discuss what kind of cosmetic injectables are right for you. Then, if you’re still on board you can schedule your cosmetic injectables appointment and have yourself looking younger in no time!
